At least five convicted felons secured management positions at a manufacturer of electronic voting machines, according to critics demanding more stringent background checks for people responsible for voting machine software.
Voter advocate Bev Harris alleged Tuesday that managers of a subsidiary of Diebold, one of the country's largest voting equipment vendors, included a cocaine trafficker, a man who conducted fraudulent stock transactions and a programmer jailed for falsifying computer records.
They let convicted criminals vote, and now they let convicted criminals count the votes. Maybe we should just formally put the criminals in charge and be done with it.
I wish Karl Rove would spend a little less time on putting more pro-abortion RINOs into office and a little more time worrying about Democrat corruption at the voting booths. If the Republicans can't get it fixed while they are in office, they certainly won't get it fixed after the next bill clinton gets in charge of law enforcement.
Computerized voting, with no paper trail, is a VERY stupid idea.

I can't understand this fascination with touch screen voting. Every time I've voted up here in WA state its been a scantron form that you fill out at your leisure in a cubical and then you feed it through a reader. No standing in line behind someone who can barely operate an ATM.
What I would like to see is a receipt generated that has a random unique id for each race. So if there's a disputed election all the ids that voted for the candidates are printed in the paper. You have your individual number in your hand so you can see if your vote was counted.
Since you have a new id for each race then people can't figure out how you voted in two elections. Granted your union boss could ask to see your ids, but its better than the alternative of votes being counted in secret.
I can't wait to send this to my state representative. I've been sending him letters and materials on the dangers of these machines. The attitude has been, "But we just spent all this money". SO WHAT!? IT'S DANGEROUS AND ISN'T AUDITABLE/RECOUNTABLE!
